“the Michael Jordan of Scottish fiddling,” Alasdair has a concert and recording career spanning 30 years. His film credits include solo performances on the soundtracks of
The Last of the Mohicans and
Titanic. Featured on
CBS Sunday Morning, A Prairie Home Companion, and
Mountain Stage, he has also appeared with The Chieftains and performed as featured soloist with Itzhak Perlman at New York’s Lincoln Center. His collaboration with the sizzlingly-talented cellist Natalie Haas has led to dazzling teamwork, driving rhythms and a shared passion for improvising on the melodies of Scottish tunes.
